How to cite a theorem in a foreign language?

I'm trying to cite a theorem from an article on a Russian journal (https://www.mathnet.ru/php/journal.phtml?jrnid=tm&option_lang=eng) from the early 90's. I can by no means read Russian, but with some effort and the help of automated translation tools I can parse the original article and follow the theorems and proofs. I also haven't been able to find an official translation of that particular article (as far as I could tell, https://link.springer.com/journal/11501 is the matching English-language journal, but it seems to go back only to 2006).

My question is, is a best-effort self-translation of a single theorem statement generally considered OK in such cases?

Note there's at least one previous related question (Citing papers that are in a language that you do not read), but the context is a different here, namely if you're reasonably confident you can follow the original but are neither a native speaker nor a professional translator.
